To kick off Google Cloud Next in Las Vegas this year, Google Cloud hosted an exclusive, Day 0 event at Las Vegas mega-venue, Sphere. In under 10 weeks, GPJ and Google Cloud partnered to bring this massive press moment to 6,000 attendees.
Keynote speaker Sundar Pichai (CEO of Alphabet) introduced an AI-reimagined Wizard of Oz set to premiere at Sphere in Summer 2025. This ground-breaking collaboration, involving Google DeepMind, Sphere Studios, Warner Bros. Discovery and Magnopos demonstrated AI’s ability to enhance classic films for Sphere’s 16K LED screen.
As Google Cloud’s trusted experiential partner, GPJ played a central role in bringing the vision to life, overseeing a wide range of services across strategy, design, production, and operations. From managing VIP logistics, venue coordination, and F&B, to orchestrating immersive in-theater effects such as seat haptics and gusts of wind (delivered via GMEPS), GPJ helped ensure a fully integrated sensory experience.
The program culminated in a post-screening panel featuring Thomas Kurian (CEO of Google Cloud), Jim Dolan (Executive Chairman and CEO of MSG Networks), and moderator Sarah Kennedy (VP of Marketing at Google Cloud). This event served not only as a technical showcase but as a narrative moment, illustrating the powerful convergence of cloud technology, AI, and creative storytelling.
