In a groundbreaking move, the team filmed a live event pre-show where attendees watched hosts being mic'd up in real-time, breaking the fourth wall between production and audience. This transparency embodied the mission to REFRAME conventional event experiences.
The impact was extraordinary. In-person attendance soared to 70%, surpassing the industry average of 60%. Livestream metrics were even more impressive, achieving 39% attendance compared to the industry standard of just 20%. This nearly double performance demonstrates how the immersive approach resonated with remote audiences seeking authentic, engaging content.
Post-event, Vimeo extended the experience through an interactive showcase featuring six key takeaways from REFRAME, edited and presented using the company's own platform. This approach proved the product's capabilities while delivering value to those who couldn't attend.
Attendee satisfaction validated the innovative approach: 93% would recommend REFRAME to colleagues, while 91% rated the experience as excellent or good. The overwhelming success of this first-ever REFRAME event in 2024 has led Vimeo to announce its return in October 2025.
