NCBiotech Company Directory

Founded in 1984 by the North Carolina General Assemble, the North Carolina Biotechnology Center is a non-profit, public-private partnership organization located in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Funded by the General Assembly, the Center's mission is to provide long-term economic and societal benefits to North Carolina through support of biotechnology research, business, education, and strategic policy. DesignHammer first worked with the Center in 2011 and has supported the main Center website as well as the Center’s Company Directory.
The Center asked DesignHammer to improve the usability of the Directory in addition to updating its look and feel and upgrading the underlying Drupal version. The Company Directory provides an authoritative list of all Biotechnology (and adjacent) companies in North Carolina.
DesignHammer redesigned the Directory homepage, search interface, and results pages as well as improving the overall usability of the site. The major Drupal version upgrade required all underlying functionality to be revisited, including the CSV based company import, purchasing Enhanced listings, and all aspects of search.
