2025 Taoyuan Sustainability Party: A Cross-Sector Festival Merging Sports Passion with Net-Zero Living
Now in its third year, the 2025 "Taoyuan Sustainability Party" has evolved into a landmark large-scale event. By forging strategic cross-industry alliances with the Rakuten Monkeys, Xpark Aquarium, Pacific Cycles, and Hotel Cozzi, the initiative seamlessly integrates sustainable living, ecological conservation, zero-carbon transportation, and eco-tourism into a vibrant stadium marketplace. This year, the celebration expanded beyond a weekend stadium event into a month-long "Sustainability Month" throughout June. Citizens are encouraged to practice green behaviors at participating corporate venues to unlock exclusive rewards, fostering a multi-dimensional approach to green living.
A highlight of this year’s initiative was the collection of nearly 500 pre-loved jerseys from fans. Damaged jerseys were upcycled into DIY handmade doll kits, while 330 high-quality pieces were donated to local social welfare organizations. These efforts in resource circulation and social charity demonstrate a successful collaboration between the public and private sectors in achieving environmental sustainability and social inclusion.
By moving away from traditional, Taoyuan Sustainability Party transforms the Rakuten Baseball Stadium into Taiwan’s largest environmental education "amusement park." From the moment fans enter the gates, they are not just spectators—they are active participants in a low-carbon lifestyle revolution.
