About The Entry

Honda set out to build excitement for the all-new 2026 Passport TrailSport by bringing its rugged performance and lifestyle appeal to life for both Honda associates and consumers. The goal was twofold: equip sales teams with meaningful, hands-on product knowledge while creating public experiences that generated awareness, engagement and momentum for the launch.
The strategy was to take Sales Training assets, expertise and curriculum beyond traditional training environments and place them in high-traffic consumer settings. Across a four-market mobile tour, participants experienced the Passport TrailSport’s capabilities firsthand through dynamic drive experiences, off-road challenges, towing demonstrations, professional ride-alongs and interactive product walkarounds.
The tour kicked off in Torrance, California, with an on-campus off-road course, Airstream towing demonstrations and hands-on training. In Arlington, Texas, the TrailSport Discovery Zone provided in-depth training on the Passport alongside experiences with the Pilot and Ridgeline. In Fort Lauderdale, Florida, a dual-location activation paired an indoor mall product experience with a custom-built off-road course. The tour culminated at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, where the team engineered a first-of-its-kind mechanical off-road course atop a three-story parking structure—including an unprecedented 55,000-pound mountain craned into place.
The results exceeded engagement and training goals across the tour. More than 7,300 attendees experienced the Long Beach activation, generating more than 3,300 leads. Torrance engaged 243 American Honda associates and 375 sales consultants, welcomed 1,587 attendees and captured 680 leads. Arlington trained 215 sales associates, hosted 354 attendees and generated 236 leads despite severe weather. Fort Lauderdale trained 244 sales associates, welcomed 888 attendees, captured 592 leads and directly sold two vehicles.
By transforming product training into a high-impact experiential platform, the program gave Honda teams the confidence to sell the Passport TrailSport—and gave consumers a compelling reason to experience what it can do.
