The Training Project consists of three main parts: A 2-day workshop with Virtual Reality (VR), an online equivalent to the workshop, and a Search tool for information.
This 2-day workshop that provides Service Advisors with the information and resources to develop them into “Automotive Gurus.” This instructor-led session addresses five technologies: Under-Hood, Under-Vehicle, Driver Assist, EyeSight® Systems, and In-Vehicle. The workshop utilizes VR through Oculus headsets, which allows the learner to take a deeper look into technologies inside a vehicle without the presence of an actual vehicle. They can explore a engine, the cooling system, cabin controls, and more.
The Driving Technology Challenge is a Web Base Training equivalent to the Systematic Inventive Thinking workshop. This Challenge combines front- and back-end learning modules with an game that times and scores the learner’s response to assessment questions. It may take the learner about an hour to complete each of five modules.
SIT and the Challenge both refer to the IQ Assistant, a resource for learners to quickly and easily find information about the technologies. IQ Assistant is a video-based searchable mobile resource tool. It can be accessed via a login on a device or by scanning a QR code using a cell phone.
