The Lake House is the first property of its kind on the banks of Canandaigua Lake in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Despite encountering unpredictable delays due to COVID, this design-forward hotel successfully opened in August of 2020. The Lake House engaged Spherical for comprehensive digital marketing strategy and execution for the hotel’s opening. The overarching objectives for The Lake House were to position the property as the perfect undiscovered year-round spot to escape everyday life and make new traditions with friends and family through strategic storytelling, brand positioning, and content creation. To do this, Spherical executed the following tactics: communicated the brand story through curated content, established brand advocates, drove reach and conversions with paid media, and ultimately, helped the property become the heart of Canandaigua in the eyes of its guests and followers. This was also achieved through a strong paid media strategy, positioning The Lake House as an undiscovered getaway in New York by driving awareness and creating a loyal audience base through paid social media, targeted audiences, and data-driven analytics. We also leveraged dynamic ad types to drive bookings and acquire a new, loyal, and highly engaged audience.
