Much more than just another medical technology company, eMoyo is a team of passionate scientists, clinicians and designers. By creating state-of-the-art, tele-medicine enabled, location-independent healthcare devices, eMoyo is truly committed to empower healthcare workers, occupational health officials and philanthropists to
take healthcare anywhere.
As a brand, eMoyo is entering a new era. Their one-of-a-kind Kuduwave portable audiometer was hand-picked by NASA to be used for testing aboard the International Space Station and the fast-growing med-tech company is about to break into the US market. eMoyo’s existing website and overall design look-and-feel no longer matched who they had become – a global brand that is deeply committed to making quality healthcare accessible to as many people as possible. eMoyo required a website that would reflect who they are at present.
As eMoyo’s main objectives are empowering users to work smarter, faster, simpler and more cost-efficiently, these objectives had to be clearly reflected in their new website’s design aesthetic.
We incorporated lots of white space in our layout, so emphasising the brand’s clinical nature. Our selection of blues and oranges was based on these colours being proven to be soothing to the human eye, invoking a sense of calm, trust and stability. Typefaces were chosen for their readability, while “caught-in-the-moment”, human-centred imagery convey a sense of warmth, trust and authenticity.
Another important design objective was placing eMoyo’s flagship product, the iconic Kuduwave portable audiometer, front and centre in the brand’s visual identity.
We achieved this by referencing the Kuduwave audiometer headset in eMoyo’s brand mark, which forms part of its logo. This brand mark is also used as a design device throughout the website, sometimes static, sometimes animated.
Finally, it was important to us to communicate eMoyo’s caring, optimistic and approachable brand personality, bringing to life the slogan “the future of healthcare is human.”
We achieved this by, in addition to the Kuduwave portable audiometer, also visually referencing in the brand mark a smiling “happy face” - one that gives a playful wink when animated.
