Guy Villa Jr has been taking photographs of overlapped, weathered posters and signs since he acquired his first camera. These layered upon layered, often deteriorated and forgotten image remnants, similar to make-ready prints in screen printing and offset printing, outturn an impressionistic counterpoint to the intent of the original compositions and yield visual outcomes that are even more compelling.
