The Northern California Golf Association wanted to boost its membership while also promoting the sport of golf to two diverse audiences: seasoned semi-pros looking to stay competitive, and younger enthusiasts just getting into the game. To satisfy this need, Mnemonic created both the “It’s a Numbers Game” campaign as well as spokesperson “Chip Shott”—our guide to many benefits of NCGA membership. In addition to creating branded assets for the NCGA’s website, we created two unique spots: “Discounts” is aimed at new members and boasts of all the advantages of NCGA membership. “Handicaps” advertises and educates about the benefits of maintaining a professional golf handicap via the NCGA. The campaign has resulted in a pronounced uptick in traffic to the NCGA’s website as well as client excitement about how to extend the campaign and utilize “Chip Shott” in future marketing endeavors.
