Think 2023 brought together over 2,300 of IBM’s top clients and business partners for a 2.5-day event embodying the spirit of innovation and the ongoing evolution of the flagship IBM conference.
Attendees were able to delve deep into IBM’s products and services through narrative-driven, interconnected content and experiences. Within “The Forum” – the buzzing hub of Think, attendees engaged with thought-provoking activations, explored content relevant to their business objectives, and connected with industry experts and peers. The entire event was designed and developed with industry-leading sustainable event practices as the foundation of the experience.
At Think 2023, attendees explored an entirely new IBM brand expression for the first time through a design system which not only elevated the overall event experience but also ensured reuse, aligning to both GPJ and IBM’s core imperative around efficiency and sustainability. The completely customized architecture system ensured every component was thoughtfully designed for long-term, modular use and created an environment that felt high end, elegant and modern. Going forward, the new event architecture will be utilized across all IBM events, with an ongoing focus on sustainability, repeatability, brand consistency and personalization.
The debut of the new architecture system was just the beginning of IBM’s sustainable approach to this year’s program. From F&B, to composting and recycling, to completely eliminating excessive swag, Think 2023 set a new sustainability standard for IBM events moving forward. All in all, Think Orlando diverted more than 1,849 lbs of compostable materials from landfills, reused 71,000 square feet of carpet, recycled 18,470 square feet of fabric graphics, and so much more.
From an audience-centric approach to intentional experience design and sustainable environments, innovation was key to the overwhelming success of Think 2023. This event not only set the tone for the subsequent Think on Tour events taking place throughout the year but also raised the bar for how all IBM events will come to life in the future.
