Immigrant Founders in Their Own Words

Our client, the Economic Innovation Group (EIG), is a bipartisan public policy organization dedicated to forging a more dynamic and inclusive American economy. EIG produces nationally recognized research and works with policymakers to develop policies that empower workers, entrepreneurs, and communities. As part of their Immigration Policy is Innovation Policy initiative, EIG engaged DVI to produce a series of three immigrant entrepreneur stories highlighting the impact they’ve had on American dynamism.
One of those stories was about Mert Hilmi Iseri, Entrepreneur and Co-Founder of SwipeSense. Based in Chicago, IL, Mert immigrated from Turkey to the U.S. to pursue a degree at Northwestern University where he co-founded SwipeSense, a healthcare technology company helping to eliminate medical errors and reduce infection transmission in hospitals across the United States.
