In the Company of Machines

In the Company of Machines is the third full album release from Jesse James Allen; a 9-time internationally award-winning experiential media artist and composer from Orlando Florida.
While Jesse’s prior two albums were based around historic space missions, In the Company of Machines explores the musical concepts that sparked the New-Age music movement.
“As a child of the 70’s I grew up listening to what would be the start of New Age and Electronica. Styles that still often held elements from the genres of music they emerged from such as rock, classical and experimental.
It was an era when it did not matter what was used to make the sound as much as how you used it. It was the wild west of sonic exploration and possibility.

As time has passed, New-Age derivatives have become more specialized and more refined in form, but I am gravitating to the nature of that early music where any style can unapologetically embrace another.”

"In the Company of Machines" is a progressive new-age tapestry woven with both traditional and synthesized instruments. The 10-track journey is a dynamic one, from an original classical sonata to a duet with nationally touring Flamenco Guitarist, Don Soledad.
