In an effort to advance the “Hsinchu City Government Integrity & Green Energy Program,” the Department of Government Ethics partnered with a team from National Tsing Hua University to present an engaging parent-child workshop titled “Smart Solar Energy House DIY.” This dynamic event aimed to captivate participants through a series of enjoyable and interactive activities designed to illuminate the structures and operational principles of green energy technologies, such as solar panels and wind turbines.
Moreover, the workshop incorporated storytelling sessions that centered on green energy education, effectively weaving together fun and learning. These sessions not only provided valuable information but also inspired young minds to embrace the concepts of sustainability and integrity. By nurturing a sense of honesty and social responsibility from an early age, the program sought to lay a strong foundation for future generations. Ultimately, the initiative emphasized the importance of collective contributions to the city’s ongoing efforts toward sustainable development, fostering a community united in its commitment to a greener future.
This innovative program was thoughtfully designed for families with children, providing an engaging series of guided activities that foster both learning and connection. To kick things off, integrity volunteers led captivating storytelling sessions that skillfully conveyed the importance of honesty and environmental protection. These stories not only entertained but also helped children grasp the pivotal role that integrity plays in sustainable urban development.
Following the storytelling, participants were introduced to the dynamic world of green energy by a professional team, who presented the concepts in a clear and engaging manner. In a hands-on activity, families worked together to assemble a miniature solar-powered house, which deepened their understanding of renewable energy. This experiential learning opportunity enabled children and their families to gain valuable insights into how renewable energy systems function, while also enhancing their awareness of green energy facilities. Ultimately, this program provided a rich and interactive experience that encouraged curiosity and environmental stewardship among all involved.
