Microsoft Surface - 'In The Balance'

Microsoft Surface’s 5-part web series, ‘In The Balance’, aired during a time when everything was off balance. Covid, lockdown and working from home became regular aspects of life for many and the music for the title sequence needed to reflect the paradox of comedy and thriller, work life and home life, balance and imbalance.

Blind Pig's animation team designed, illustrated and animated a vibrant, filmic title sequence, inspired by a range of references, including silk screen printing as well as Saul Bass/Hitchcock title sequences. Armed with a list of objects to include from the client, the Blind Pig team went through the script, designing the objects and illustrating them, bearing in mind how they'd transition from one to another via animation.
The team then worked with Blind Pig's Composer, Joe Worters, to ensure the original music matched the dynamic, impactful, colourful visual of the title sequence.
